PRP refers to a minimally invasive form of medical treatment in which platelet-rich plasma obtained from the patient's own blood is injected into the area to be treated. Platelets contain proteins called growth factors, which are important for skin regeneration, cell renewal and healing in case of injuries. It also stimulates hyaluronic acid production and blood circulation, as well as collagen and elastin formation.

| Blood collection: | Approx. 10 ml of blood is taken from the arm vein. |
| Centrifugation of the blood: | during several minutes the blood is centrifuged. During this process, the platelet-rich plasma separates from the remaining blood components. |
| Injection of the plasma: | Using a very fine needle, the extracted plasma is injected in the desired area (e.g. face). If desired, an anesthetic cream can be applied beforehand. |
